The King’s School, SEN Support Classroom – ‘The Hive’

This SEN support classroom has been transformed into a calm, cohesive, and nature-inspired environment. The design features nature-inspired carpets that ground the space, a low-maintenance living wall system to bring the benefits of greenery indoors, and a custom-designed mural reflecting the hive theme, reinforcing ideas of water, community, and belonging. Overhead, hexagonal acoustic ceiling tiles not only improve sound quality but also echo the hive motif, tying the scheme together visually and functionally.

Every element has been custom-designed by our team to create a unified, biophilic space that supports children’s regulation, encourages focus, and fosters a sense of emotional connection and attachment to the classroom.
